Beyond technical skills, we also focused on the financial side of water facility management. Committee members learned strategies to better economize the profits generated from water sales. We discussed transparent bookkeeping, fair pricing models, and reinvesting profits back into facility upkeep. This approach not only promotes accountability but also helps create a sustainable funding cycle that benefits everyone.
A highlight of the workshop was the open forum where committee members voiced their concerns and challenges. Many shared difficulties they face in maintaining the water facilities, including resource constraints and technical issues. Additionally, we listened attentively to feedback and also about the school we built for the community at Masonkwa. This candid dialogue allowed us to understand their needs better and identify ways we can support ongoing improvements.
Workshops like this are more than just training sessions they are a platform for empowerment, collaboration, and growth. By equipping community leaders with practical skills and fostering open communication, we are building a stronger foundation for sustainable water and sanitation management. We are committed to continuing this journey alongside the community, ensuring that access to clean water and quality education remains a reality for all.
Thank you to all the Water and Sanitation Committee members for your enthusiasm and dedication. Your commitment is the heart of this community’s progress.
Stay tuned for more updates on our initiatives and how together, we can create lasting change!
