    The workshop took place on Wednesday, 4th March and Thursday, 5th March 2026, bringing together enthusiastic youth from the communities of Juabenba, Kurofofrom, Nkyerepoaso, and Abesewase. The training formed part of Family Support Lifeline’s broader commitment to empowering young people through skills development and technology driven opportunities. During the two days, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of CCTV surveillance systems and installations. The sessions were designed to be highly practical, allowing participants to gain hands on experience with the tools and equipment used in modern security installations.

    Facilitators from Rahmatek IT and Business Solutions guided the participants through: Understanding the components of CCTV systems, Planning camera placements for effective surveillance, Proper wiring and installation techniques, System configuration and troubleshooting, Basic maintenance and monitoring.

    Participants actively engaged in demonstrations and practical exercises, learning not just the theory but also how to confidently install and manage CCTV systems in real-world settings Beyond improving technical knowledge, the training opened participants’ minds to new career and entrepreneurship possibilities. CCTV installation and security technology services are increasingly in demand in homes, businesses, schools, and public institutions.

    By equipping young people with these skills, Family Support Lifeline hopes to encourage self-employment, innovation, and community-based solutions to security challenges. The initiative also highlights the importance of technology in strengthening safety within communities. As participants gain the knowledge to install and maintain surveillance systems, they become part of a growing network of skilled individuals who can contribute to improved security infrastructure in their communities.
